Greendale Middle School finishes 2nd at State Championship

(TERRE HAUTE, Ind.) – Five members of the Greendale Middle School Track & Field team had an impressive weekend at the Indiana State Middle School Track and Field Championships.
Sam Dennis, Alayna Tuttle, Grayson Messer and Sam Bostic competed in the Coed 4x400 Meter Relay. They raced to a second place finish statewide, falling short of the title by a margin of just 0.3 seconds.
“The race was a dramatic and unforgettable showcase of teamwork, grit, and determination,” said coach Justin Noppert.
Grayson Messer, competing in her second consecutive state championship,placed second overall in the Girls 400 Meter Dash.
Noppert credited her consistency and competitive spirit for being a standout athlete at state.
“We’re incredibly proud of these athletes and their hard work,” said Noppert. “To compete at this level—and place this high—is a testament to their commitment, their teamwork, and their love for the sport.”
The school congratulated each member of the team and thanked the community for its continued support of youth athletics.
