Officials seek tips following Lake McCoy suspected arson

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Investigators are continuing to seek information following a fire in Lake Santee on Sunday night. 

Firefighters arrived around 10:30 p.m. to find the vacant clubhouse building fully engulfed in flames. 

Officials believe the fire was intentionally set and added that it isn’t the first time it has happened in Lake McCoy.

“This is not the first, second, or third time a fire at Lake McCoy wasn’t an accident. Firefighters risk their lives and safety every time one of these properties is illegally burned. This needs to stop before someone gets hurt or worse,” said Greensburg Fire Chief Nathan Stoermer.
