(MILAN, Ind.) – Ripley County deputies never know what they might encounter while on the job. 

They dealt with a SWAT standoff in Holton on Tuesday morning and now they're chasing around an animal.

A pig has been running around loose and onto the road near State Road 101 and Old Milan Road. 

Deputies are hoping to identify the owners of the pig.

“It has the demeanor of a dog and likes to follow people around,” the sheriff’s office said. 

The officers have been able to contain the pig and keep it from the roadway.
