Greensburg incident raises awareness about suicide prevention

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Greensburg Police are raising awareness about the resources available for those struggling with mental health.
It comes after a man reportedly jumped off an I-74 overpass on Wednesday. The man was flown to an Indianapolis hospital where his current condition is not known.

Upcoming Suicide Prevention Trainings
The incident comes just days before two free suicide prevention trainings next week.
The courses will focus on the warning signs and also how to persuade someone who is showing signs of self-harm.
The trainings are called QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) and attendees will also learn about local resources and support, ask questions, and practice the skills learned.
An in-person training will be held in Greensburg on April 20 and you can register here.
